MB mechanic/specialist..Sarasota, Fla. area needed

Greetings;
I'm the new guy "in the barrel". I am just finalizing purchase of a 92 600SEL with 80k. Trying to get my homework done ahead of time. Been reading all the great posts. I need a great independent mechanic in the Sarasota, Florida area (Greater Tampa Bay/ST. Petersburg area).
Not new to MB automobiles, have had a 1955 300D.
1988 420SEL, 1988 300coupe, and just bought my daughter a terrific 2002 230C kompressor coupe.What a great little car for the bucks. Anyhow I'm rambling...any help on the 600 will forever be held in gratitude...!!

I vacation in Siesta Key, FL every year for at least a week, but usually 2 or more. I've taken my Grand Edition down once and thankfully did not need a mechanic while I was there! However, I would like to know of a good one in the area for future reference. Islanddad, where on the island do you live? We had a place at midnight cove on the gulf side but sold it a few years ago. We now have a few time shares at the sand piper beach club and stay there or at a friends at midnight cove. Usually down there in May before the humidity gets bad... Favorite place in the US!

I live on Longboat Key, using for years now GJ on Tamiami closed to Bee Ridge.Two guys, Guido and Chris, work on 107, 126, 123, 124, 140 and and and. I use them for my 107 and 140, just had a tranny job done, no complaints at all. Fair prices because of low overhead.
