Hi! Need help with programming the infrared master key - Benzworld.org

Hi Guys. I have a 1997 S320. My car never came with a master remote and key. I bought a a remote key from a 1997 s320 on ebay. I have ordered a replacement key to be made in Chicago that I will slip into the remote. For the meantime, I am trying to get the keyless system to work. I have checked the batteries and tried the synch process written in the owner's manual. However, the key still doesn't work.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to programm or make the keyless entry work?

[;)]did you take the battery out of the transmitter for a few minutes, so the transmitter will "forget" the old code?

I need a Remote Key as well, which I need to reprogram into my system. Where in Chicago can I order my Key?

My local Benz Dealer said that it is imposible to acomplish.

your local dealer is a [:o)]. try a different dealer.

Call Loeber Motors (847) 675-1000, then option 3 for parts.

Mine costs $120.00. Take your VIN number, photo id and proof of ownership. Takes within a week.

Loeber is the largest benz dealer in that region.
