///S320, ouch that hurts to watch. Good advice, but not something we can control if we get on the road. That's why when I take my Benz out of hibernation, she will strictly be a vacation car, and for long trips. No more in city driving. I think that's the best we can do to protect our investment.
BTW, as little as the damage is, it is still going to be expensive. I feel for you man.

Chachad, so far i did not get an estimate. I have to find a place to get it fixed for $20 an hour. My xenon bulb is ok, i will remove the entire lighting system from the car, till she is fixed.
You are lucky to have 2 cars. I live right around gold coast and parking is only on street!
Happy new year - how is your job search going, 04 forecast is good though!

RE: Accident Pics
Thats too bad about the lights.
In general body work tend to be expensive, as i mentioned before, if we get little dings on his s class, we get upset. I understand your frustration. But believe me , things would have been much worse, like serious body or structural damage.
So, u live near the gold coast area in chicago. My mom's relatives just opened that new Bently luxury motors in the gold coast area.Thats a nice trendy area there. I understand your point about parking. I recall the first time i went there, and i parked my car in a parking lot across the diesel store,on locust, it was $ 25 for a short period of time. Plus you notice lots of cars in the downtown area that have scuffs around the bumper from street parking...i guess in many cases its typical.

Did you run into someone or did someone back into you or something, cause from the pic it looks like it would have been y our fault. Not the "cheap drivers" fault. Just a curious observation.
Sorry about the accident though man, they're not fun.
Its not too bad, my dad rear ended someone a while back did a bit more damage to his left front end on his W210 E420 and it ran up a $12,000 bill.

Wrong observation iam afraid. The driver infront of me, backed into my car. He was driving a 89 Blazer. His car was not even scratched.
I was shopping in the supermarket, when I came out I noticed the headlight on my 1994 s320 was smashed...I was so upset..But I got even more upset when I found out it would cost $600 to fix from a dealer...I don't know how it happened, but someone must of hit it and RAN!!!!!I looked on ebay and found just the lens for sale (mercedes does not sell the lens anymore, only the whole assembly) So I got it for $100.....MY husband snapped it in in 2 seconds.........
Did you ever get your car fixed? If so, how much did it cost you?
Regards,
Bryan
Hi Bryan and mynewbaby,
Actually i have 3 estimates so far and the cheapest one is for $1150.00, the most expensive is around $1600.00
Its not fixed yet, the insurance formalities are still pending and i am also looking for a used headlight. Reason being that the right one will look old if i install a brand new on the left side. So, things are in motion, but slowly.
My new baby, if i had the lense, that would not solve the problem for me. As i have frame damage as well that requires re-alinging of the headlight assembly completely. You were lucky!!
