For Sale - 1985 Mercedes Benz 500 SEC

http://www.cardomain.com/id/hansthebaker

In very excellent shape. Only a few things wrong with it. There is a "whiskey" dent on the driver side rear wheel well. You know, where some jackass does not steer good enough when hes parking and makes a little dent on the area protruding from the wheel well above the tire. The paint is in very good shape. Does have micro scratches and such, a few larger than micro scratch scratches. 3 new tires on 16 inch wheels. 2 of the tires are Sumitumo HTR+'s at 225/50/16 the other new one is a Kuhmo Ecsta at the same size. The wheels are bubbling at the welds and the center caps are starting to fade. The interior is in such good shape im surprised the car has been driven. No tears in the leather. A few scuffs at the base of the seats. The drivers side front window is actin weird. The motor is fine but when it gets to a point it will start clicking kinda loud and you can pull it up a little and it will go on its mary little way. All the other windows work perfect. The sunroof motor is good but its acting like its off the track or something. It retracts very quickly but takes forever to get back into place and makes some weird noises. Motor runs strong as hell. Could use some valve cover gaskets soon, after alot of highway driving it will burn a little oil for about 2 minutes after you exit the highway and get to cruisin normal speeds. Sometimes in the morning one of the pulleys makes a screeching noise. Last problem is some check valve that keeps the fuel lines pressurized after being shutoff is not working so sometimes it takes a while to start. I have been 100% honest. That is EVERY PROBLEM with this car. Everything else is in PERFECT shape. Yes the car has been lowered by a professional. It NEVER hits or rubs, it is also very comfortable. Sacraficed very little to no comfort in lowering it. It has 125,000 miles all highway. I am selling it because I drive far to work and I dont enjoy the gas bill.

thats a downer

damn, thats a shame to part with such an awesome car because of gas prices [xx(]. i can only hope they come out with some kind of alternative fuel engine that can get 400hp w/ 500lbs of torque, not one of those 95hp jokes.[B)]

only if things could be like back to the future where you pop open the mr.fusion in the trunk and toss in a bananna peel and a beer can, not only will the car run via cold fusion itll fly too.

if i had 8k liquid i could consider it but that looks less than likely. at least with such a great car you wont have a problem finding a buyer. agh! i love that color interior! best luck man.

Well I am selling it for two reasons. I am just barely about to be 21 and I should not own such a car. If it were to have a major break it would be parked for a long time. Even though I have a wonderful high paying job which is why I own it in the first place. I am trying to start living within my means. Plus I think it is cruel to put all these miles on it, it deserves to be someones toy...not some workhorse.
