Starter

Help...my starter bit the ghost. My problem is how to get at it. The bottom bolt is no problem, but the top, that's a totally different ball game!...How the hell do you get it out? Any tricks? It's on a 420 sel...I guess all the V8 are similar.

As I recall, you need a universal joint on your socket and a long extention bar.

Once you crack it's seal, it should be quite easy.

Got it done. I took the exhaust manifold to cat nuts off. I guess I should have waited. But anyway it's all done, and working superbly. I can't believe that other than yourself, no one has changed the starter.
