The magazine "Autobild" is currently has an interesting report about the six generations of the S-class. From the Heckflosse to the W220. I haven't read it all myself (it's in German by the way) yet I've looked through most of the pictures, and looks to be quite interesting. Here's a picture from one of their tests.
