Smoking

Please help....I'm burning oil on my 88 420 sel.

Only when I floor it does it show some blue smoke. But if I shift manualy while bring the revs up to 4 - 5 grand it does not smoke....once again it only smoke when I floor it.

Does that sound like the pistons rings or the valve seals?

Does it do it when you are sitting still after the car has been run? How about when you are cruising down the road at a steady rpm and then hammer the throttle. Does the smoke starts to pour out? If so, it sounds like valve stem seals.

When I'm standing still there is no smoke. When cruising, I can press the throttle to 50 % and nothing happens, but when I open it up to 100% then I see some blue?

That is either bad rings or too much fuel. I'd have a compression check done to see what is causing the problem.
