shift knob removal

Has anyone removed their shift knob before? I have no idea where to start, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you

The shift knob is permanently attached to the shift lever. The lever comes out from the base. Pull the centre console wood trim out and work down to the base of the shifter and you should be able to work it out.

Thanks I was able to switch my knobs last night. I put the spring on backwards so the knob doesn't snap back into the slots but it looks nice.
