W126 Strut tower brace

Anybody ever seen or heard of a strut brace for the W126? Just curious. Maybe I can get a machinist to make one for my 560SEL.

Before fitting a strut brace you would be better off to do a full front and rear end rebuild. All new bushes, balljoints etc will really make the car feel new and tight.

Unless you fit harder springs I would worry about a strut brace, you will be unlikely to find the limits of the car with the soft factory suspension.

Fit some big wheels and H&R's and then you might.

Matt.

You know, i have been wondering the same thing. Seems like a simple and straitforward upgrade, and with AMG springs and wide tires, i am looking for still better handling. Thinking about Koni Shocks, but don't want to give up Self-Leveling....

Keep me updated about the strut tower brace! I think the chassis flexes to much, but more diagonally rather than horizontally.

Edward
