Finally, I just completed the purchase of a 1988 560SEL with 260k KM on it. The guy wanted to sell for 7900$ canadian and I got it down to 6000$ canadian with 4 new winter tires and 4 summer tires. This is my second W126 since my first one, 1981 300SD[:(].

I knew you couldn't go without a W126 for long. [:D] Ain't nuthin' like 'em. Those are some serious before and after shots you got there !! What'd the guy do? Throw some more mud on it for everyday he didn't sell it? [:p] Sure looks purdy now tho !!

I've heard of that site and I'm going to order some soon. For now, all the option are functional, everything except the sunroof which I will fix in the summer because if something goes wrong will I'm fixing it and I can't close it, I'm gonna freeze to death!
The next is body rust, those nasty rust bubbles. Also, a common problem among w126, the rear winshield seal need to be replace, the water is rusting the steel panel where the first aid is. And a little touch-up here and there.
Now for the mods, I just found out that 1988 560SEL has 6 inch sub in front, and also midrange and tweeters in the back. Time to fit in my CD player, my subs and more speakers! Also, I'm going to order some white face gauges to go with the HID blue LED for my gauges cluster.
That's all the mods, I'll be able to do this week.
