My 89 420 SEL with 115k has started making the slightest 'clunk' when putting into gear. I am about to put my car in the shop for some other work and wonder what is causing this clunk.
Could it be:
Universal? I have heard that W126 Uni's are not repairable and expensive to replace.
Transmission? I have not changed the filter asnd fluid since I bought the car 6 mo and 12k miles ago.
