Can the w126(86-91) Bulbs be changes to H4 style bulbs?

I was wondering if the existing bulbs (9007?) could be changed with H4's with the use of some sort of a harness.

Thanks
Sohaib

H4 for a US 126

A couple years ago, when in Europe I purchased the europeon style H4 lighting ($100 a piece) to put on my 82 SEL which was converted to the piss poor US lighting. The units were a perfect mechanical fit, the electrical was different. I put off replacing the system cause, though I knew I could do it it would have taken time I didn't have. I wish I would have taken the time now. One dark evening on a country road I didn't see a stop sign (poor lighting), and slid through the sign, and creased the rear quarter panel. (Note abs worked fine though)

Well the reason why I wanna convert mine is that on ebay there is this fake HID kit they sell for the h4's only and I wanna try it. It goes for $79. If anyone have the instructions for the conversion I would appreciate it greatly. I did a similar swap from the sealed beam to H4's on my Audi quattro I had years ago and it was just a matter of changing the arrangment of the wires. If anybody could provide the wiring info for this......

Thanks in advance
