Euro Head Lights. . ?

Good day all,

I have an 1981 280SE euro. How do I tell if I have the euro headlights that everyone seems to want? I have the US spedo and all the emissions so Im wondering if the head lights were changed too.

How are the euro lights better? Most importantly, (because this describes my current situation)how does ons change a bulb on the euros or does one replace the entire headlight assembly?

Thanks,

Chaz

Okay - so the Euro headlight is an all-in-one unit with the fog lamps where as the US version they are sparate. It also looks like there is a longer light wiper on the Euro version as it covers both lights not just the headlight.

So, other than appearances, what are the differences? Does one give a brighter and/or more controlled light pattern? Are parts (ie bulbs) cheaper or easier to find for one vs. the other? Is one type easier to aim than the other?

Thanks
