Weather was great today and I was waiting for a sunny day to go for a short cruise.
Picked up a friend of mine and we hit the road.
Taconic all the way up to Bear Mountain Drive, over the Bear Bridge and to the top of the mountain. Walked around the lake, got some fresh air, enjoyed a good conversation and continued our drive towards Seven Lakes drive.
Overall, 150 miles, which is a far cry from my glory days when I had so much more time and a 400 mile a day drives were a norm. I really miss the road. I miss exploring.
420 did well. THis thing can hug the road well, although with massive roll. I sometimes wonder of the car has sway bars. But its all good fun. Plenty of power on the highway. Got 17 Mpg or so with mixed driving.
I sent you a PM. I used to go there often for Wednesday eve Car shows, which are great. But I moved from Queens to Long Island, and getting out that hole is an extra 30 minute affair.

Nice car and looks like a nice area to ride. You might want to check and see if there are any more of the latest run of sway bars available (right off the top of my head I can't remember his screen name here). I installed one last year and the roll you mentioned is there no more, like she's chained to the road
Is that both front and back? I am curious if ride quality suffered any. Also, stiffer bars doesn't mean better handling. Does the car under steer or over steer more?
I doubt I'll ever reach the cars limits, but I gotta admit, throwing it around was fun today. I'm sure it looked hilarious from outside.
No, the ride quality stayed pretty much the same, she rides a little stiffer due to the lowering springs (H&R) installed by the PO but the leaning in turns and curves is much lower/tighter. The bar I installed was the rear, the front is the factory bar
I can also attest to the amazing transformation with the larger rear bar. Handling is still very predictable, with no noticeable change in over or understeer. I regularly push my car in decreasing radius turns with delightful results. A car this big should not handle this well..
