My 500se with 110k miles starts immediately after sitting overnight but then gives trouble starting when warmed up. It will start but only after turning over several times and pumping the accelerator a few times. Runs smooth as silk otherwise. Any ideas as to what I need to look at?
Check the cold start valve and see if it works when warm. Disconnect it and place in a 2 liter soda bottle. Turn the key to start
of it is working it'll spray fuel into the bottle. If no fuel your Thermo-time valve is bad. Or your fuel accumulator is bad.
My .02 cents: my experience of several years owning several V8 MB's has been that any hot start problem is cured installing a new fuel accumulator! @ $125.00 in the aftermarket.
