Au Contrairy-aire, mssrs.
20 degrees Farenheit yesterday morning.
30 this morning.
And my Footwell heat flap is still SOL.

But the HP in this cold air is awesome.

Vdub,

This is the A/F I would expect to see. Notice how the A/F drops and settles near 12 at WOT. This means that the EFI is giving the motor more fuel when it needs it. I would first get a wideband O2 sensor installed so you can read your own A/F at any time. Then you can adjust it accordingly. Without one, you would have to keep doing dyno runs.

Dang!
Look at how steady that AFR is, see where the car scales it down to Best Power by 5000rpm when really needed.

That right there the best that modern engineering can do for economy and power.

A Bosch CIS will never have a perfect AFR like a $100k new car.
But look at what new cars are doing to maximize economy.
They aren't at 16.

my e63 doesnt know what fuel economy is ....hah

ok bottom line, what should i do with my car.....mess around with the afr?

ive already shown that the engine is producing pretty good power right, as is....and even if i got it to run at 12 afr, what am i really gaining?? a few hp?

and how does one change afr anyways, is there some switch or something....i dunno.

anyways, i appreciate all the info..good learning for me
