Time to share my project

Well, it's time for me to share something I've been keeping a secret for a long while now. Things have finally gotten set into motion, and in my excitement (and quest for help) I can't contain it!

Here is my August 8, 1951, 170S!

It needs a bit of love and attention (as well as some replacement parts), but it'll be worth it in the end!

**Note** This car won't be restored to its stock motor or transmission. I'm going to modernize it with the motor, trans, and a few other goodies from a late 80s 300ZX.

Now, for the pics!

Couldn't keep it to myself any longer!!

What's nice is, the leather is still supple, even after being lived on by several cats.

A test with a wet rag showed that the leather will clean up very nicely. But it'll need to go through some serious disinfecting.

I guess here for now!

I'm so excited! Kind of annoyed I'll be on the road for three weeks starting on the 12th, but it'll give me time to source the OEM parts I do want to replace.

Debating on colors right now. Never been a fan of this maroon, so I was thinking black, or a classic blue.

Never a fan either until I got Rose. I don't know the color of yours but mine is Padjitt Red.
The Maroons are a rarer color and yours would look great with the black interior. That car would look great and run great with a Euro 500 engine and trans.

Black would be nice, but seems to be pretty much the only color cars of that era came in. I'd keep it original paint-wise

Not sure how well the M117 would fit, it gets way too narrow towards the front.

I want something that'll be better on gas, and allow me to mate it up to a manual gearbox, hence the Nissan engine.

Still debating, I just can't get into the color. This car was once in a museum, and has an award badge on the grill from 1973. It's sad to see it this way, but since it's mine now, I'm bringing it back to life.
