Just replaced my starter 2 weeks ago, when I turned off engine starter continues to spin! I had to disconect battery cable to stop it. This same thing happened with the starter I recently replaced. Is the solonoid defective? All Bosch starter.
At these new members asking basic questions is fishy
But just incase you are not a troll...
Pull the starter and get some jumper cables and a battery
connect the negative cable to the body of the starter
Put the positive on the positive poll on the solinoid and nothing else, if the motor spins its a faulty solinoid
The wiring to the starter is very simple with no starter relay ( The key completes the circuit ) so that is unlikely to be the issue
Its an odd thing to go wrong with a solinoid
Are you sure you are not doing somthing thats bridging the two terminals?
