Just detected a dripping leak at the plug where the cable is attached to the transmission. It is a new part bought during the rebuilt 2 months ago. Indy tried to put sealant to stop the leak but after driving from work then home only i detected the leak started again. Check the ATF level and it seems overfilled.
Car going back in to the workshop first thing tomorrow morning. Wondering is there a seal or install method required when installing the bowden cable plug?
I believe you need this o-ring. I just ordered new bowden cable and o-ring and plan on doing this after I get my new, hopefully working, modulator installed. I have 722.303 tranny
After putting the ATF 6 litres, which my parts guy told me to buy 6+1 (standby) so i didn't expect it to be slightly overfilled now. Have to re-check again and should i remove some of it? Will the transmission get damaged for overfill?
Detected a leak from the kickdown plug hole at the transmission, not sure why the seal gave way probably due to the new buildup pressure from the K1 spring kit.
Overfilling will most likely not cause immediate, catastrophic damage, but it can lead to the ATF foaming which in turn can cause slippage. I would try to get the level right; especially if you are tinkering with the adjustments to tune the shifting.

Thanks guys...sorted out by removing the 1 quart of excess ATF. Probably it was my mistake because i read somewhere that we need 6 quarts for every change of ATF service. Anyway will check whether my O-Ring need to be change, since my rebuilt the bowden cable is new but hope my Indy change the O-ring at the same time.
Update on the K1, reduce flare with upshift of 3000rpm for 2-3. I am happy now since it will upshift when cold start in the morning. Previously it would be like free gear and upshift at 4500-5000rpm. My transmission is a 722.319, after adjusting my bowden cable without any slack...is there any way of reducing the 2-3 upshift at 2500rpm or less?
I've decided that I don't like the Mercedes supplied K1 spring.
My flare is long gone, but the 2-3 shift is very soft and lady-like.
Adjusted the modulator to no effect.
Subsequently I removed the K2 spring to amend the 3-4 shift but put it all back without replacing anything. After that the 3-4 shift became more firm.
So I am left with a soft 2-3 shift and a firm 3-4 shift that I cannot adjust away with Modulator adjustments.
Thinking about ordering those aftermarket springs and trying those. Maybe find some new pistons too and replace those.
Any input is appreciated.

On advice from my Indy Mechanic in Phoenix: David Terry,... I reduced the Modulator pressure a bit and put a teence more preload on the kickdown cable.
That helped delay and soften the harsh 3-4 shift and seemed to make the 2-3 shift more positive.
Will drive for a while and see how it goes.
Normally I only drive the SEC on weekends but its been my daily for the last week while my normal driver (Nissan Frontier) is being used as an aircraft tug...
This saved my transmission 7 months ago and it's still shifting good. I think anyone with shifting issues should do it first. (Along with a filter/fluid change)
$8 part saved me from a rebuild.
