Just installed this on my car as the original one was cracked. Its $4 at the dealership and a good preventative maintenance so that water does not get into the trunk. To install it, its best to remove the antenna mast first.
I changed mine some time ago. It's easy to change, of course you'd need to remove antenna mast first (otherwise you can't push it in). If you don't plan to buy more parts so to get a free shipping from autohaus az, you'd just go ask the parts counter at your local mb dealer, they'll have it. easy job and inexpensive.
I have bought rubber stuff like this from them and have never had any issues. Geez, it's not like it is a Drive shaft or Strut. I bought this very same part and it seals the antenna hole just as well as any other rubber part from MB.
Please
There are many stories of this grommet not being the correct size and then of people getting the MB one and having no issues with fit. I've got one but won't get to see if it fits until the car is down for paint.
Well
I must have gotten lucky because it fits perfectly. It did take a little elbow grease and some silicone lubricant but it slipped in after I got it started. It also works well too. It looked exactly like the old one but not cracked and dried out.
