Well, thanks to AA and looking up the number of seats on Sunday the 3 August (and there being a lot of them) I am now staying the Saturday night in LA and leaving on the 3 August - hooray!!
When I rang my agent today and spoke to someone different, they could not understand why I was told it was full.
No matter, all fixed.

You see, when they heard I was coming down to LA for this, a whole bunch of girls on a dating advice forum from there want to see me..
This board, that I contribute to, is loaded with hot, good looking, single women that cannot get dates and the idea of a 2 person gtg concurrent with my LA trip was set up by my friend - a guy on there that I talk to - so we could pound down some beers, (Just him and me, because we just thought it would be him and me would be the only ones interested be interested to meet and to talk),
But then, a whole ton of these single women on the dating advice forum got someohow wind of it and clamored like crazy, to meet us!!
So he set it up, we will be in Newport Beach that night for a gin-soaked and who-knows-what-else bash and blowout, at some fancy club and reataurant that I CAN NOT miss. WILL not miss. < pounds fist on table >
(One of them, a Palm Springs realtor (that''s an estate agent, to you Ross!) that drives a 2008 Mercedes Benz ML 350 has even approached me to meet her privately, on the side, from all of side of this, but that is another story!!!

I was hoping that some of the Nor Cal folks were coming down and we could all share in the cost of room or rooms close by.......so we gots a place to crash AFTER following Teutone and Ross around.

I might just have to follow this up with a phone call. What you need to do is put on your best and step up to the plate and do this like a true "player". You tell these girls what IS going to go down and ya'lls be heading over to come meet up with your Benz homies that be gathering cross town. I usually stay at the airport Radisson since I get a killer discount, but most hotels have a "crew" rate for airline folks. They do have a pretty neat bar at the top the gives a view of the city and the aircraft coming in but I'm sure the locals can come up with MUCH better options. 420se, glad to see that you were able to convince your agent that they might look a little closer at things
