Outside Temperature Display?? And Clock??

The lil area that (I think) is supose to display the outside temp is just a greenish glow. Is this a comon problem? Can I repair this?

Also the Analog clock below the Tach does not work. Is there a repair or fix for this?

BTW: my car is a 1986 300SDL 98k miles

Thank you for reading this! Any help you can offer is GREAT!

Here is a way to repair your clock:

http://web.mac.com/dakota/Mercedes/P...ckRepair_1.pdf

For the temp issue, it is most likely one of two things: the sensor (wire running from front of car near/on license plate bracket/bumper to fusebox; or, its the display unit that is part of the instrument cluster, easy to replace with another unit.

Have you tried a forum search? The archive has a wealth of information.

Welcome, to take advantage of all the forum features, please re visit the 'Welcome to the Forum' tutorial sticky on top of the W126 page, as well as the two DIY stickies.
It will show how to search the forum (3 words min.), and has a link to the Russian MB site where you can run a VIN#.
Cheers

Where is the best place to find something like that? Is it a dealer only part?

I've got one if you need it. I can check tonight for you when I look for some other parts for people.
