guys,

i want to replace my blaupunkt tape unit with a modern stereo that will take usb input. after removing the stereo i find that its not iso compatible. I have bought an ISO adaptor and some cable connectors so what i'm looking for is a wiring diagram and some dos and don't (want to make sure i don't wire in the fade that was part of the original set up).

There is a perfectly working blaupunkt tape deck for anyone who want it (location: dublin)

thanks

Welcome
Please (re)read the welcome to the forum sticky.
It will tell you how to fill out your profile and how to do a forumsearch.
There's lots of info on the radiowiring.
Converting to ISO may not be as easy.
Could mean running new wires to the speakers and replacing speakers.

Please do a search.

This is an old saw......

You have two options:
- Fix the OEM components (speakers, wiring, head unit, amplifiers, fader control, etc.).
- Replace everything.

The original sound system is not compatible with aftermarket components. If you try to change a single element (speakers, head unit, etc.), you'll have a hard time making it work with the rest of the components.

Due to the separate fader control, the wiring is not useable with new components either.

Good luck.
