Hi I have been here since 04 and love the site. I have been able to maintain my deisel myself and kept her out of the scrap yard. Recently I have a puzzling problem that I have not been able to correct. First the car started running rough. I had been runing a little filtered wvo with deisel about 15% wvo. So I figured I had clogged a fuel filter. I changed both. No help. I checked the tank screen no help. I ran deisel purge through from the tank hose (straight not blended with fuel) Ran great! I then refilled (partially) the fuel tank with straight deisel. Back to the same problem. I checked the hoses on top of the injectors to be sure I had no leaks no help. I had changed the oil recently and put in 15w 50 royal purple and a new filter. The car has no power and can't be taken on the road(stranded twice) It seems to get to a point where it will start run rough and then die. Any help? I love this car and want to keep driving her. I am starting to wonder if its the injectors or the injector pump. But this happend pretty suddenly. Thanks for any assist.

I have been told there is no adjustment left in the valves. But why would this happen so suddenly. I mean like overnight? I did notice that my primer doesnt seem to be working either. Would a bad primer cause this?
As I said all the screens/filters have been checked an/or replaced, that would seem to be the obvious solution though. The deisel purge ran great and I had more power when it was in the fuel line.
I run +35% WVO in 4 cars for the last 5 years and had no problem with the engine.
It actually run better.
Next to check is the ALDA and there is a great post explaining that procedeure.

If you have a 617 engine, you can adjust the valves. Don't know why you would run out of adjustment.
Yes, a bad primer pump will cause your symptoms.
