Air Intake Boot Below Air Flow Meter bottom diameter?
Do the breather hose rubber booth from 500/560, and the older aluminum booth with short rubber hose have the same bottom diameter, and is the latter compatible and can be installed?
Jerry the mechanic doesn't like the rubber booth breather hoses on the later 500/560, he likes the old aluminum booth, because they don't crack (we have one).
We still have an odd intake manifold leak, and might pull out the 'new' rubber booth.

Which models does the aluminum version come from? I hope it does fit the 560 since that would be what I need for future superharger project. Sorry to only have another question instead of an answer. Jono or someone will have our answer.

This part comes from the 450SL, you can find the part # on the autohausaz site for reference, they use the original MB part numbers.
If the bottom diameter is the same, the aluminum booth with rubber connector would be compatible.
Thanks Teutone. Jim Nowak had a few made from aluminum. He said it was a facinating process they hydro-formed it with only a garden hose pressure. Must have cost$$. I hope the 450SL unit will work for the 560.
