nice car man. what did you use to polish the plastic lights? If it's a non-converted euro then the back lights should be completely orange from the blinker to the corner. I can see your front corner lights are the orange euros with no reflector. For the future try finding the euro, non-reflector corner back lights.
If the engine & tranny really are shot in this car, I might consider a M119 Swap.

I might go to a junk yard to look for that piece, I guess its the same from any similar W126?
Do a quick search on ebay using terms such as "moulding" or "cladding" - or "dogleg trim piece" as one seller described it!
Remember that Gen I (yours) and Gen II ('86+) moulding trim pieces are different (ribbed vs smooth)
Because it's the small next-to-fender piece, I don't think SE vs SEL should matter. If it was the door piece then I'd imagine the piece lengths would be different.
You'll probably need to paint it as they were grey in stock form.

Sorry I have been slow on the updates. I have been busy reading up and doing research on these cars and the parts for them. I am working on the tail lights today as they were terrible.
Heres what it looks like after, but I forgot to take before pictures.
