Expected cost for Air Cells from a independent shop?
I need to replace the accumulators/air cells on my wifes 560 SEC. She does not want us to do it ourselves. What can we expect to pay using MB parts from a independent shop in VA?
who cares what she wants, whose money is it? The air cells are not that difficult to change. I can email you the pages from the shop manual if you want.

Thanks for a meaningless answer. It is her car so it matters what she wants. It is her money. Your attitude is chauvinistic and is not appreciated.
I know that they are not difficult to change. My reason for inquiring is to compare the the DYI cost versus having someone else do it.

Haha! I was thinking the same thing. My woman understands that there are three things I will not pay good money for someone to "work" on. The yards, my cars, or my wife. That's my domain!

Sorry. Didn't mean to add insult or hurt your feelings. Whip out that phone book and see what kind of quotes you can get locally. Doesn't matter what we'd pay in California, Australia, or Kurzikastan.

No worries. Your post was did not bother me as much as PAS'. The tone of your post is very different then PAS. I am simply looking for general number. I will more than likely drop the car off at at my indy who will look at it for free but I wanted a ball park number to compare to.
Well, I only use genuine accumulators, so figure 180 per side, about 1.5-2.5 hours of labour depending on how rusty/stuck things are. Add about 20-30$ in fluid and what ever shop supplies..

Thanks Jonathan.
So by doing it myself I am saving about 2 hours in labor. Thats the round about number I was looking for. From what I understand the genuine accumulators are worth the money.
