Bloody Tragedy

Look at this story
Junkyard Finds: 80s High-End German Iron

Bloody Tragedy. I must admit I almost junked mine after I thought it had blown a head gasket.
It only had a clogged breather hose which caused 2 quarts of oil to come out the tail pipe.

Sad, maybe, but for me, not only does this mean there is what appears to be a really, really clean pre-86 in a yard for some good picking of parts, but that site, jalopnik.com , the 'down on the street' (DOTS) section is freakin' hilarious. I rarely laugh out loud, but this site has me bustin' a gut.

What if I told you that one day, I saw TWO, yes TWO 500 SECs, side by side in the junkyard ! With NO apparent problem.

After much consideration, I concluded that while the junkyard was south of Paris, the cars (still) had plates identifying as coming from the south of France (31). I wonderhow they got to Paris ...
