No problem. Bye Bye Millenium. I am taking my business to Morristown MB from now on. See you on the 14th.
I agree. Morristown MB and Ray Catena are the only two dealerships in NJ, (I've tried most of central NJ indies as well without much luck) that provide good service. The plus with Morristown MB is that they do provide a loaner even if you havent bought the car from them. (atleast they used to). Ray catena doesnt do that unless the car was purchased there. But then again the waiting area for Ray catena more than makes up for it ! I'm pleased with Raycatena. Yes it's expensive to get the cars repaired at the dealership, but after the hassle of going through indies,I prefer to spend the extra buck for peace of mind and knowing the job is being done right !

Well it appears there is not enough response to the NJ GTG show in july so we are just going to make it a GTG on the 14th of april. If someone wants to organize something for the future at that point, we can discuss it on the 14th.
I did my best. Sorry.

hey come on ! you're doing more than enough already. arranging all of this takes time and effort and you've done more than you had to. so cheer up !
Morristown is closer for me. I live in Basking Ridge. I do most of the work on my cars, but there is a local indie shop in Liberty Corner that is very good. I've taken my car there a couple of times, and I've been very satisfied with the work and price.
See you guys in Manville on 4/14

would you be kind enough share the shop info. it's good to know of a shop that has good recommendation.
I'll be at Limerock park CONN. the weekend previous to July 4th, so it would have to be the weekend after if anything. July 4th falls on a wednesday this year.
The Millenium incident:
as far as how it was handled on my end, I asked politely, introduced myself, mentioned there could be possible 3 member groups involved, MBUSA, Benzworld, and Mercedesshop and that we had in excess of 50,000 NJ members between us and that we expect it to be a large event. I offered to give them 8 slots for a new car display, all I asked for was some flags and ropeoffs for the event that they may, or maynot have in storage. I asked the same way, every time in phone messages I left, (because he never takes calls) and e-mails. It was when I left a message at the secretary's desk for the owner that things got bad. All my message said was, please call me, I am putting on a car show and your Sales Manager refuses to return my calls after waiting 2 weeks. Then, I guess he was sleeping with the secretary, cuz, he somehow ended up with the message that was intended for the owner, Then he called and cursed me out.
You will hear it tomorrow. If it wasn't on my machine, I'd find it hard to believe too.
I just hope after all this, he doesn't figure out where I live and trash my car when I'm asleep, cuz then he will have to see me when I'm angry. and he doesn't want to see me when I'm angry. the skin turns green, and darts shoot out of my eyes. Painful, but effective...
here it is for everyone else.
The message I left for the owner with the secretary was Please call me, I am putting on a car show and your Sales Manager refuses to return my calls after waiting 2 weeks.
Note: the key words in the message are "I recieved the message you left for the owner" and 2, "take your 50,000 people and shove em up your ass."
