Hey guys. I will be at LimeRock Park in Connecticut this weekend if anyone is interested. I will be there thursday - Monday Sept 3rd-7th 2009 for the Rolex Invitational Vintage Fall Festival. I WILL have my car there along with the Lotus Europa JPS that we are racing all weekend there as well. We will be in paddock "B" during the day and after the day's racing we will be at the campground inside the track near the main bathrooms overlooking the first turn. Just look for this Lotus or my Car. Don't forget yor BenzWorld T-shirt.

WOW darkone... I just got through reading this thread for the first time. Your car is one of a kind man! You did it better than AMG! How did you wind up solving the issue with SRS and horns? Do they all work? Im surprised the airbag is compatible since the original one was a 1st gen SRS unit and the wheel is from a newer C class right?

Interesting question. I don't plan on ever selling her. I always say, if you park your car, but can't get more than 40 ft away from her without looking back, staring, and saying "damn! what a sexy car!" then you know you bought the right one. I still do it every time even after 6 years. Thanks for the compliments.
on the horn/airbag issue, never solved it. I have to rewire it somehow. right now horn/airbag are non-functional. but the wheel feels nice for sure. way better than that wagon wheel it came with.
on the brake dust, yes the car generates tons of it. Still waiting for a company to make ceramic pads for it. I may just have to get them custom made.
oh! and I'm still looking for a driver's side wooden dash piece. mine broke. it's the standard burl wood not zebrano.

sorry i missed it. I was in the hospital for 11 days. i'm ok now though. Keep me informed on any future events though. you still got my number? I lost yours due to a phone destruction mishap.
