Yes, the big guy in North Korea does have a MB fetish (not as bad as Fidel in Cuba), and if you have been there he is the ONLY guy who could have had a car like this... believe me even a foreign consul in NK would haven't had the balls realistically.
Canadians are fond of Asian MB imports, they do the major export out of Japan on some affordable 126's etc... but the track on a export from North Korean, just the transport/vessel routing track would be interesting.
A North Korean car ending up in China is one thing, but the re-export from North Korea to Canada would certainly be a great tail.
I will be posting pics within the next day or two before I consider doing any modifications.
As far as the history of the car, I am not too sure how much more history I can research.
Contacting anyone inside the DPRK is impossible and I am unsure if Mercedes-Benz would even provide me with details of original owner names and the like.
Any sources or leads would be appreciated! I always like to know as much as I can about the Mercedes-Benz' I own.
