560 SEL was 15 mpg, now 18 mpg

I recently put new bilsteins on the front, and replaced accumulators on rear. Car was bouncing bouncing bouncing... My MPG was always rock solid at 15, give or take a few tenths, regardless of highway or city or mix. The ride is now unbelivable. Cannot believe how good it is. AND,my MPG's are consistently up. I am now getting 15.5 to 16 city. Highway I am getting 17 to 18. 17 at speeds of 80 to 100 mph. 18 MPG at 65 to 85, and some local. I have gone over 3500 miles in the past month since the change, a lot of highway, and this mileage is consistent. The improved ride and handling are reason enough to maintain the suspension, but the unexpected MPG improvement helps recover the expense.
