My windows quit working and I decided to pull the panel to see what the problem was. The rear windows would click loudly as they were being put up or down then suddenly quit working. Here is what I found.
1) remove window switch. This can be done easily with a small flat screwdriver.
2) There is a small screw at the bottom of the door panel
3) remove the bottom door pull screws
4) gently remove the plastic covering behind the door opener. Behind it you will find a small screw.
The door pull and the cover can be removed as one unit. Also, the window switch and the cover can be removed as one unit but it is easier at reinstall if you separate them.
1) remove door striker
The panel should lift off from here. Pull up gently and it should come free. DOn't forget the door lock button.
2) remove wiring for cigar lighter and courtesy light.
3) A nut was missing and my bolts were loose for the window motor/regulator. Be sure to tighten these.
4) There is my problem. The clip that secures the window to the motor/regulator was broken. Thank goodnes my window motors were not shot. Both sides have suffered the same fate. I guess it is time to call the dealer for those parts.
I guess that you have not started to put those "sliding jaw" back on yet. It is not as simple as it looks.
First of all, you should be able to a pack of 4 plastics parts for about $16 including shipping on ebay.
Secondly, you will need a grinder to remove the stud on the regulator arm. How you put the new one in is the hard part. Some would take out the whole regulator so they could hammer the back end, some would use a bolt/screw. I did the bolt/screw way.
