Yes, should work fine, except the SL motors have an upside-down oil filter housing so you would need to remove the custom mount and use the SEL's mount. Other than that, as long as its a 1986 or newer, fuel injection and computers should be the same.
Thanks everyone. I wondered about the manifolds in particular. Anyone know whether the exhaust manifold is different where it bolts to the head - or at the downpipe? Can I just bolt the SEL manifolds to the SL engine or am I going to have to use SL manifolds and fabricate new downpipes to join to the SEL exhaust system??
Use your SEL manifolds. They will bolt right up and connect to your downpipes correctly.
