Just got new Yokohamas 225/55's on my 16 inch wheels. Rides well even at 120mph..didnt have the balls to get any higher even tho' she had a lot more to give!!
Everything is as it was when new..and I mean everything..lights,paint,engine rebuilt, all oils replaced, new tires, brakes and headlamps...oh wait..I'm missing the foot rests in the rear.
Sure is a joy to drive now.
I like the dark burgundy color and that the bumpers and the cladding is the same color as the rest of the car.
The euro headlamps are great and the clear corners goes well with your vehicle.
Are those Wald replica rims?
I think if you painted the back of your exterior mirrors burgundy as well, that would add to the overall look of the car.
Also (though this may just be the picture...), the faded door handles really ages the car. Replace those with new ones, or find something to turn them jet-black again.
Thanks all Axel et al..
No fitment problems at all. The wheels came off a 500SL that got upgraded to 18's. I checked with the seniors on this board a while back and got the ok on the offsets.
I still love those 18 inch monoblocks on some of the other cars []
HEY, I've got one of those wheels out back, I'm pretty sure. (Yes, when you buy a whole PALLET of Benz wheels of Ebay and sell down to the last few, one really does forget.)[:I] If any of youse are interested, I'll check the size and offset and let it go CHEAP it it applies. It needs to get on Ebay soon, any way.
