(That's my problem here....always 500 SEL listed in manuals, but nothing on 500 SE....)
The problem may be you are searching in resources geared to the US market cars as the 500 SE was never sold here. You may want to consider European/German resources.

RE: MB Sevice Library CD Index

I saw this posting earlier today and I spent quite a bit of time poking around the MB International site attempting to provide a solution. I think it may be possible by directly contacting the Heritage/Classic Center directly or even the main offices of MB in one's own country. As I speak only english, it was impossible to navigate a site using another language.

Here's the MB International Heritage page (in english).

http://www.mercedes-benz.com/content/mbcom/international/international_website/en/com/international_home/home/heritage.html#mainnav

Perhaps a good place to start....

Cheers, MBL

RE: MB Sevice Library CD Index

Hi there 560sec_vroom,

Welcome Aboard W126!

Others have mentioned that the MB CD User Interface can be a bit slow & frustrating to navigate through. I agree.

A (really good!) way to speed things up is to use Steve Nervig's index.
If you are already there, GREAT! If not, check it out.

I was really frustrated with the standard interface and changed over. Glad I did. See previous posts, if nessesary.

Cheers, MBL

RE: MB Sevice Library CD Index

The MB Classic center is now selling the latest W126 Service Library CD set for only $20.

My Indexes are located at http://homepage.mac.com/dakota/1/index.html still. I hope the W126 CDs still work with my Index. Let me know if anyone has problems.

Regards,
Steve
