Diesel MPG?

I have done a good bit of work fuel filters, air filter, 2 cans diesel purge directly threw the injectors not gas tank, and my mpg ranges from 19 to 21.8 at best. I am wondering where i should look next or is this acceptable MPG for a 300sd with 250k on the clock. I burn about 1 qurt in between oil changes and I have about 2 degrees chain stretch. My guess is the injectors?

If you can get the alda back to spec as in your other post that may help mileage some. Leaking injectors can cause the engine to run poorly and effect mileage a little. If you’ve got air and fuel intake covered may want to check IP timing.

I am getting around the same. I checked my valve clearance, changed filters and removed and cleaned the injectors by hand. Still got the same mileage. I have 302,000 and I burn less than a half quart between changes.
