BLOWER MOTOR INOPERABLE

My blower motor on my '91 560 SEL fails to blow any air for the past 3 days. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot the switch or the motor itself? I pulled the climate control unit out, and ran a jump wire accross the terminals behind the blower switch, but the motor never came on, so my guess is that the motor itself is the problem. All of the fuses in the fuse box are okay. Are there any other relays or fuses that control the blower? I have a manual that covers the early 126's, and according to it, the blower is under the dash on the right side. Still hte same spot on the '91? Any good ideas? It is mid October, but it will be 93 degrees in Houston today, so having AC would be nice.

Try thumping on the blower housing, somewhere under the passenger side dash if I remember correctly.

It has worked for me in a pinch, on 140's and 126 chassis cars. The brushes are probably worn out and it is resting at a dead spot.
