Blower motor on 560 SEL putting out little air - Benzworld.org

Working on 89 560 SEL:

The blower motor comes on, but seems to be operating at low rpm whether in auto or high. That the fan operates seems to be promising, but any ideas on why it doesn't go into high? Motor,Controls or some subtle "feature" of which I'm ignorant?

Could be the blower regulator... My 350SDL had a bad one and the blower only operated in low speed.. On my car it was very easy to change..

Blower Regulator, eh? Sounds intriguing. Where is it located (please, please, please don't say, "In the dash!" Anything but the dash!) and what does the bloody thing look like?
