My baby girl has saved my life!!!

Well.....here is the story.

I was driving home with my Chinese food for dinner, everything is good until I look to my left and see someone running thier stop sign and coming right for me. Before I knew it it was all over and I see a cop trying to help me. Well I was out for a little bit and I came to with a swollen leg. I got out of the car to look at my car(car comes first-I come second) and I couldn't believe what I saw!!! That damn driver side door saved my life. I looked at his old honda and his whole front was completely smashed in. Even the cop sad I was lucky to be alive!!! Well, I hold my hood ornament in my hand and will carry it whereever I go because my baby will always save my life [:)] I should thank my lucky stars!!! or should I say lucky MB star.

Glad to hear you are not hurt other than a little scratches. I too had an experience when a Suzuki Sidekick hit my passenger side door and the car suffered a $11,000 repair bills for the other party's insurance to pay. Hope you can get your baby back if she is repairable. Keep us posted.

I too keep the insignia ornament of my destroyed W126.
However, in my case I sincerely hope it wouldn't have spared the thief quite so much so that he was able to leave the scene in a foot-chase.

Not too be inappropriate for the squemish, but the impact was so great that pieces of the man's skull were found as far back as the rear trunk.

As I wrenched my Star out of the mangled hood and gravely assessed the devastated 20 year old German touring sedan, I was oddly comforted that she was able to take a bight out of the man before he permanently decommissoined her.

I know that sounds harsh, but you do NOT mess with another man's ride-especially ours.

Fabulous that you're OK. May you're next Benz be even better than the last.

However, this whole experience begs the question:
