1988 560 sel - Benzworld.org

I am looking at a 1988 560 sel that seems to be in good shape. I took it for a test drive last night and every thing seemed to respond well but after a drive at highway speed I stopped at a stoplight and when I accelerated from the stop a cloud of white {smoke?}
was emitted from the tailpipe. Should I be concerned? I want to buy the car but I don't want to buy trouble.
Any advice will be appreciated. [8D]

A bit much $$ with the smoke, there is a Local dealer in Reading Pa selling a red 1989 560 sel 47,000 miles $10,000 maybe negotiable , I can give you the number if interested,
