Yesterday I replaced the fuel line running from the fuel cooler to the fuel distributor. It was an easy repair, taking all of five minutes. I expected there to still be some pressure in the fuel system which would have to be bleed off but what I found was that fuel kept pouring out. I was able to keep one finger on the cooler while installing the new line so this wasn't too much of a problem. However, for future reference when I need to do more extensive work on the fuel system, is there a way to shutoff and isolate the engine compartment fuel lines from the tank and pumps?
