500 SEC Alarm Buzzer

I have just replaced a bulb in the front o.side fog light, and the alarm buzzer is on constantly even with the engine running.I only purchased the car 1 week ago, and there was a wire connecting the fog bulb to earth, so I cut it. Everything was fine until I put the new bulb in and connected it up, now I am concerned about driving with the lights on! Anybody help please?

Re: 500 SEC Alarm Buzzer

the alarm on my 420 would constantly go off for no reason. the fix- take out the mats on the front passanger side. There r a bunch of electronic boxes and stuff and one of them is the alarm. disconnect it. note...your alarm will no longer work, but the alarm will no longer go off.

Hi Sebastian, thank's for the info. I shall try it out. But 1st I have been told to try all the earths on the door switches, as they are a 'prime fault' for the electrics going down. Thank's again.Bev.
