Do It Yourself (DIY) repair thread and wheel and tyre thread

If you can link to or post repairs, please do so in this thread. I will be "polishing up" the thread later to make it easy to follow.

Actually the $10 ebay CD's are pretty good. I could burn some copies sometime.

RE: Do It Yourself (DIY) repair thread

Hello All,

As Dan points out, there are copies available on ebay. That is where I sourced my set. A couple of days ago I ordered another set directly from the mbusa classic/heritage site as I have had some difficulties with files corrupted or missing on my 'bootleg' set. Reasonable at $20 + shipping I think.

US: http://www.classictechlit.mbusa.com/MB/
Just navigate your web browser through the 'Literature Type' drop down menu....

NOTE: ............ ** MBUSA will ship to a US address only ** ...........

I imagine one is/will be able to obtain them from other MB sites as well.

CD Index Tool I strongly recommend Steve Nervig's Service Library Index Tool. The index on the CDs is, in my view, poorly executed and contains many errors resulting in browser 404 messages, rather than displaying the requested .pdf. Steve's index tool makes accessing the information a straightforward, painless operation, often delivering results in a few seconds.

Cheers, MBL
