Sadly, we can't justify keeping it:
http://kleeshirts.com/benz/

Wife works P/T out of the house, I bicycle to work. Between the hatchback utility of her Golf and the zippy fun of my Miata we're simply not Big Car people.

It has 171k and all records since new (including proof of most major services; ask me whether something was done and I can give you the date & mileage). A/C professionally converted to R-134 some time ago. Interior and paint suggest the car was garaged/covered regularly.

It has the high idle problem and may need valve guide seals. The driver's seat cushion is faded and the springs weak; the adjuster only moves the seat forward when the green button is pressed. The finish on the wheels is intact but tarnished, probably from incorrect chemical treatment. The drivers side rear window needs help being raised. Otherwise, everything works as it should.

Asking $3,500 but open to offers. Might trade for a small Toyota or Nissan pickup.

Thanks for looking,
--Chris

If you don't dump it on someone here....will you be puting it on E-Bay?
What made you lose good taste in cars?

Ouch.

If it sounds like that much of a dog, I'll fix the idle and trade it in somewhere. But I guess I thought it was a nicer specimen than that?

As for taste in cars, there's a lot that I want, but not much I can afford. This is one of those. (If you knew what I've owned you might say I never had any taste to begin with.)

What's Dietech?

No need for "OUCH"...>dump< was a bad choice of words...
But..It just kills me to see a W126 owner trade down.
I'm sure she'z a beauty...I even like the pale yellow.
& no matter what you've driven before...ya ain't sitting next to Tom Delay.

"Dietech" is a tv ad,regarding home loans..it's one of those.."ya had to be there" things.

Good Luck on finding the Benzo a new home...who knows....she might become a Garage-Queen.

No worries -- guess I shouldn't be so sensitive with 6 posts under my belt!

It's funny what a difference color makes -- black/grey/silver lend the 126 a diplomat/highroller/badass character, while things like this "Light Ivory" give it an American Cruiser flavor. Both dignified, but one's the mafia and the other's your grandparents.

Anyway... since it's just you and me on this thread, this might not be the place to sell. But I do feel better now. :)

Oh yeah. Best of luck with your sale. I am sure you will sell it. Your price seems good.
