From the left: 205/60 15 (OE my Merc. 560SEL 1990 and I think all W126's after '86 (?)), 225/55 16 (currently on my car), 245/40 and 275/35 18 (waiting on rims from Ohio).
Might need to re-calibrate my speedo, or(cheaper) be careful about how much I push my luck versus speed radar/cameras.
The 275x35x18 wheels are 65cm in diameter and the stock wheels are 64.75cm. That is only a 0.3% difference and you'd be hard pressed to see any change on your speedometer.[:)]

The photo is a little mis-leading as to the tyre heights. The 255/60 15 is guite a bit shorter in height, yet a comparison with the other three at the Miata site shows only a 3.6% difference.
I thought this was pretty insignificant until I realised that my driving habit of pushing my speed to just under perceived law enforcement "ticket" limit on the open road, does in fact put my wallet at risk. Our open road limit is 100kph.
Examples: Speedo 104 = actual 107.7
Speedo 109 = actual 112.9
Point is I guess, that prior to lining these tyres up, I was not aware of the height issue - was more interested in the width comparisons - as a person who has little experience with such things.
My simple solution of course is to slow down a bit, but I wonder if others have been caught out by receiving a speeding fine while so unaware.
