Snibble,
In my 18 months of W126 ownership, I read the FAQ just to-day.
That's a very informative and useful collection of FAQ's.
But one question though:
If I am right, 450SEL should find a place in the list of I Gen w126's

No, that would be a W116 chassis.

Maybe a stupid question, but I can't see how to get the black plastic cover off so I can get to the cruise control amplifier. It's hard for me to even get under the dash. I've taken out the 3 plastic screws, but it is still not budging. Any help? Thanks
