it's truly "funny" what the 420sel did to my neighbors boyfriend. I would be out washing the car or just even pulling out of the drive way, he is totally loving the car and in total wonder of the 420sel's classic presence. he even offered to buy the car from us asking if we are going to sell it. he drove a 1999 nissan sentra or sometimes his girlfriends fairly new c class. recently he just bought a used i'm guessing 1999 BMW 7 series a 740il not the current model, but the model before, not to mention its not even a //M series, yuk! I'm happy for the guy, but what a coincidence! he said he wanted to buy a porsche, now he is in the leauge of european luxury 4 door sedans. All i know is the w126 is far more older, still looks 10X classier and we all know about quality versus bmw's!
I was out on Sunday morning giving my 420 a 'cold' water rinse/wipe down to seal in the wax and my neighbor who has a 2002 Ford Explorer asked me what year is the MB. I told him '87. He said he thought it was a more current model. He then told me how nice and clean I keep it. "His words..."Yo man. You keep that joint looking good."

I love my 560 SEC Euro with only 64,000 klms thats only 39,770 miles. Was at the coupe fest in Detroit on the weekend the other coupe guys were amazed at the Euro differances. On the ride back home several drivers pulled alongside gave that thumb and finger eye sign, one guy in a new Pontiac GTO wanted a heat so off I went at 225 K I looked back I guess he gave up, so I slowed down waited for him to re-appear which he did, stopped at a coffee shop the GTO guy pulls in behind? LOL was an off duty OPP he even paid for the coffee. Now he wants one too!!! At the coupe fest there was the unvailing of the 12 cylinder SEC I will post a new forum on her just waiting for the full details from the owner.
AS for my 560 SEL Euro it gets the same attention!!
Both are pure MB stock 300 HP Euros the only changes I've made are the radios. I have some interest in selling the SEL thinking $25,000.00 CDN. Has to be sold in Canada due to emmissions problems in the US. if there is interest e-mail me gary.peck@sympatico.ca
