What tires do people like?

Ive got a set of Bridgestone sport comp 2 ive been happy with, no tramlining issues, wear is decent, great grip dry and wet but they are a bit noisy as they have aged. Im curious at to what other run aside from the standard Michelins that everyone defaults to, the MXv4 or what ever they call em now, primacys...I dont wanna spend much more than 120 or 130 a tire, even then I dont think I should have to...Thoughts? Its 1 205/55 16 FYI

I find Michelins to be overpriced. Kumho makes a pretty good V-rated tire in that size at a good price. No on Hankooks.

I have used many brands of tyres over the years & for great grip in both wet and dry only Maxxis or Hankook will do.

We have tyre ratings here now by law which denote noise, wear, dry grip
& wet grip. You would be surprised how poor some Goodyear & Michelin tyres perform. Paying for the name I suspect. Having driven on most all brands I concur with the ratings system which put Hankook + Maxxis at the top.

I've tried a bunch of others, and keep coming back to Michelins, on these cars, the Premier AS (All Season) is my current choice, previously it was the Primacy MXV4. If you want something sportier, one of the Pilot series.. Other tires might be fine when brand new, but by the time the tread is 50% worn, my experience is, they are awful one way or another (poor rain traction is the most common failure, but also noisy & harsh riding, or even poor dry traction on said 50% worn tire). Michelins ride well until they are down to the legal wear marks.

I did a LOT of research for my current tires. For best all season, Tire Rack came up with, (and I agree with after driving on), Continental ContiProContact.

Love em. Year round, wet or dry, excellent. Seriously.
