Here I'm trying to make room in the garage but came across this 94' E320 Coupe.
Car runs and drives.
Body is clean and rust free.
some neglect but the usual for this year car.
It will be a fun project.
Just love the W124 in two doors!
My first gasoline engine so any tips or areas to look for would be greatly appreciated.
You wouldn't want to replace the throttle body, just repair the wiring for the throttle body, again if it hasn't already been done. The throttle bodies themselves are incredibly long lived, at least the non-ASR versions. Nice straight looking car.
I vote pods, had to do all mine, imagine a bomb went off in the cabin! if I can do it ,you can to! center vent pod was bad, while the dash was off I replaced all of them. on my 92 I pulled glove box liner, there was a distribution block there, tested each distribution line and found 2 or 3 that would not hold vacuum, common for age of things. I had the cheap fix for a while and inserted a 13" stick thru center vent to hold down flap and let air thru, works but looks nasty! lol.
LOL. no, i'll do it the right way once i get to this project sometime next year.
